Fact Sheet Collection Health

This is a series of one-page fact sheets each defining a method of torture or ill-treatment, recapping related international standards and outlining the health consequences. We use the torture definition of the UN Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (UNCAT). The purpose of the fact sheet series is to empower partners with information; to raise awareness of professional staff who encounter survivors, and to initiate dialogue on the use of these methods.
