The government in Copenhagen intends to build so-called ’reception centres’ for asylum seekers outside the European Union. The idea is that the processing of asylum applications and the possible ensuing refugee protection should take place outside Europe for asylum seekers who have made it to Denmark. The government has presented a draft bill and will put forward a bill in Parliament this Spring.
